Joseph M. O’Hara, C.P.A., P.F.S., M.S.T., E.A.

Joseph is the founder and president of O’Hara Wealth. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant, an IRS Enrolled Agent, a Licensed Public Notary and an AICPA Personal Financial Specialist. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Tax Professionals, as well as a Fellow at the National Tax Practice Institute.

Joseph founded his accountancy O’Hara & Company in 1999 and has served as president since. Including time spent before starting O’Hara & Company, Joseph has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Joseph earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Hofstra University in 1983 and his Master of Science in Taxation from Northeastern University in 2015. He serves as a guest speaker at the Comsewogue High School Career Fair.

Joseph has been married to Donna J. O’Hara for 35 years and they have four children and two grandchildren. He enjoys boating, skiing, traveling and spending time with his family. He is also a co-founder and serves as treasurer of the non-profit organization Dying to Live, which helps those battling addiction.
